Anouk Schuit, MSc
Anouk Schuit started working as a PhD-student at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in May 2016. In her PhD-trajectory the self-management application Oncokompas has been expanded to make the application suitable for patients with incurable cancer and their partners, to support them in finding optimal supportive care, adjusted to their personal well-being and preferences.
Currently, two randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are conducted to determine the efficacy of Oncokompas on patient activation, caregiver burden, quality of life, and costs. Cost-utility analyses will be carried out to provide an overview of the costs compared with the difference in QALYs (quality-adjusted life years).
Anouk received her bachelor’s degree in Medical Informatics at the University of Amsterdam and finished her Master Beleid, Communicatie en Organisatie at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
